We collaborate closely with companies and public institutions especially from the Rhine-Ruhr region (but also beyond). We provide innovative research with advisory skills, thus allowing for a fast and value-creating transfer of knowledge to generate measurable and sustainable practical benefits. 

Our cooperations, in particular, focus on both, engagements for specific academical purposes such as, bachelor, master or PhD theses, as well as the transfer of expertise and state-of-the-art research for needs and burning questions of industry players. Therefore, the spectrum of joint research ranges from single research studies lasting several months to long-term research programs. That is why companies and industry players are continuously integrated into our research cycle and actively participate in the transfer of knowledge and technology into practice within research projects.
While we adapt our research topics to current developments in practice, we typically focus on three (mutually interacting) areas:

• Guide the organization: How to manage digital transformation to leverage technologies for innovation and competitive advantage?
• Guide the process: How to deploy automation and analytics technology to enhance and optimize business processes?
• Guide the technology: How to leverage (lightweight) technology to ensure business alignment and to optimize business value?
