SIG DITE Paper Development Workshop at Case Western Reserve University
Last week, Jannis Nacke from the TM group attended the SIG DITE Paper Development Workshop at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, organised by Youngjin Yoo, Kalle Lyytinen and Julian Lehmann. This workshop gave Jannis the opportunity to get valuable feedback on his current research and to network with Information System peers from around the world.
The workshop aimed to provide doctoral students with the opportunity to present their current research and receive valuable feedback from both peers and experienced mentors in the field of information systems. The goal was for participants to use this feedback to further develop and elevate their research to a higher level.
This was accompanied by inspiring keynotes from Rodrigo Mascarenhas, Carliss Baldwin and Jannis Kallinikos, who gave great insights into their current research, but also into their own mindset. In addition, a panel discussion was held in which scholars talked about their career experiences and the ups and downs of being a PhD student and how to overcome challenging situations. The whole event was rounded off by networking events around the workshops, which gave the TM group the opportunity to network with doctoral students in the Information Systems field from all over the world.
We would like to thank the organisers of the SIG DITE Paper Development Workshop for the very successful event and look forward to further events in this context.
